Your Inner Source of Healing

by Bob Lancer

The healing of your heart and mind comes from within. Your soul, true self, God within, spark of holiness – whatever you choose to label it – possesses the healing power of the spirit.

As your body mends itself of a physical wound, your soul mends your spirit. You need to provide the proper context for the body’s healing work, such as keeping the wound clean, protecting it from further harm, eating well, exercising and getting plenty of rest. The same applies to emotional healing.

The cleanliness required involves a kind of mental and emotional hygiene as well as the selection of comforting, harmonious environments. You may infect your emotional wound through over-exposure to negative attitudes. You protect the wound from further harm by avoiding unnecessary encounters that increase your pain. As in physical healing, you need a good diet, exercise and rest to facilitate emotional healing. In addition, harmonious social exchanges help. In sum, provide yourself with a whole, balanced life while moving through your pain.

Your soul desires your emotional healing because it loves you. When you feel emotionally balanced you can express more of your spiritual potential. When you think of another person as the source of your healing, you only dissipate your energy and end up feeling worse. Think instead of your soul or indwelling spirit as the source of your emotional healing. Go within and ask it for guidance.

Your ten inner powers convey the healing power of your soul as follows:

Power 1: True Will

Just as your body automatically sets to work on self-healing, your soul, which contains your true inner will, automatically sets to work on your emotional or psychological healing.

Power 2: Wisdom

Just as your body "knows" how to mend a flesh wound, your soul possesses the wisdom of how to mend your emotional wound.

Power 3: Understanding

Just as your body recognizes all the elements of the wound it needs to address for a complete physical healing, your soul understands all the levels of your emotional wound it needs to address for a complete emotional healing.

Power 4: Mercy

As the body naturally takes steps to relieve your pain, your soul automatically sets to work on easing your emotional pain and restoring your inner peace and happiness.

Power 5: Justice

As the body naturally seals the wound to keep out infectious influences, the soul rejects psychic influences that would interfere with your emotional well-being.

Power 6: Beauty

As the body naturally works on restoring the balanced, harmonious operations of the organism, the soul automatically creates emotional balance and a state of harmonious unity.

Power 7: Victory

As the body restores the natural level of vitality in the organism, the soul restores the confidence, drive and enthusiasm that express healthy emotions.

Power 8: Honor

As the body seeks to glorify itself by restoring its natural, unbroken form, the soul seeks to glorify itself through the restoration of your healthy emotional radiance.

Power 9: Foundation

As the body heals itself from the inside out, the soul first addresses the underlying issues of the unconscious on which more obvious levels of emotional well-being depend.

Power 10: Kingdom

As the body finally manifests its healing to the point of visible, physical completion, the soul manifests emotional healing until emotional well-being expresses itself fully and freely through the physical organism.

Understanding how your ten essential powers flow in the emotionally recovered state can also assist you:

  1. You comfortably and naturally follow your true will. In other words you live true to yourself, following the guidance that comes from within you, without straining to impress, control or influence Felicity’s opinion.
  2. You live wisely, free to function in line with your best interest, instead of under the domination of your emotional reactions.
  3. Your understanding explores healthy fields for constructive insight instead of obsessing over Felicity and your painful past episodes with her.
  4. You treat yourself and others with loving kindness and feel basically happy.
  5. You rigorously reject disturbing and negative choices that pointlessly drain and strain you.
  6. You maintain your emotional balance and harmony in the present moment.
  7. You feel confident about your future and express genuine enthusiastic passion for life.
  8. You treat yourself and others respectfully and make choices that support your self-esteem.
  9. You have faith in the essential support of reality and exhibit patience with time.
  10. You physically express a calm and serene sense of command over your circumstances.

A Ten Step Process To Emotional Healing Involving Your Ten Essential Powers

  1. Know that your true will wants you healed, emotionally balanced and feeling blissfully released from draining states of emotional loss or conflict.
  2. Know that you have the intuition and wisdom gained from previous experience to guide you toward emotional healing.
  3. Understand the depth of the challenge facing you.
  4. Forgive yourself for your emotional attachment; don’t fight against yourself; take the healing process lightly enough to enjoy yourself through it (as much as possible).
  5. Rigorously attend to your healing process; accept necessary sacrifice; impose necessary restraints.
  6. Strive to live in balance and harmony as much as possible.
  7. Remain confident and enthusiastic regarding the accomplishment of your objective (release from emotional attachment).
  8. Respect yourself and make choices that support your self-esteem.
  9. Depend faithfully on the unfailing support of reality; trust time; persist and endure for as long as it takes; drop impatience.
  10. Take outward physical action aimed at advancing your emotional healing.
